From Digital Divide to Digital Drive

Abstract

As technology continues to shape the way we live, how can we ensure older persons are not left behind but instead feel empowered to participate fully in the digital age? This session offers a hands-on experience where participants explore real-world examples of digital learning, guided by enthusiastic mentors in a lively intergenerational setting. Through simple, practical technology activities, the session demonstrates how digital skills can open doors to better communication, access to essential services, and lifelong learning.Designed for older persons, policymakers, practitioners, and community advocates, this session moves beyond theory into action. Together, let us strengthen the foundations for digital inclusion, where connection, confidence, and curiosity become the drivers for an age-friendly, tech-enabled society.
